Your First Visit: You will need a valid referral from your GP dated within the last 12 months and any relevant test results. For your first appointment please allow 45 minutes. Subsequent review appointments can take between 15-30 minutes. Please note that this is a private billing specialist clinic. We do not bulk bill appointments, although you will receive a Medicare rebate for your appointment, automatically deposited to your account following payment for the consultation.

NON ATTENDANCE POLICY
We require 72 hours notice if you are unable to attend your appointment. Cancellation or no-shows after this cancellation period will incur 50% of the consultation fee.

Surgical Fees
We provide ethical fee servicing in line with professional recommended schedule of fees. Patients who are privately insured will receive a reimbursement from their health fund and Medicare. The difference in the surgical fee is called the “out of pocket gap”.
We charge a surgical fee gap to enable us to provide the highest quality care possible for our patients. This enables the cost of the surgery to be brought in line to what it would actually cost in today’s current climate, rather than in the time when the Medicare rebates were set.
For every surgical procedure we provide a written informed financial consent so you are aware of what is involved every step of the way. The anaesthetist and surgical assistant fees are separate to Dr Wetherell’s fees. We are able to provide you with a quote for these as well if requested. Dr Wetherell and her team are here to support you and keep you informed every step of the way.
